Moyster Privacy Policy

Moyster is an oyster tasting journal. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Account: when you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your name, email address and profile photo, used to identify you and label your tastings.
• Content you create: oyster tastings — ratings, notes, taste sliders, places, photos you attach.
• Location: only when you open "Oysters near me" or pick a place, and only with your permission. We do not store your location history.

What is shared

Your ratings, the oyster, the place and your first name are visible to other signed-in Moyster users. Notes, service comments and photos are shared only when you leave "Share my notes" enabled on a tasting. You can change this per tasting at any time.

Third parties

Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore, Storage, Authentication). Nearby places and place suggestions come from the Google Places API; map tiles from OpenStreetMap. We do not sell data and do not show ads.

Your rights

You can edit or delete any tasting in the app. To delete your account and all data, email palgrich@gmail.com and we will remove it within 30 days.
